I'm actually really into this kind of stuff. I would consider freezing as a way to help myself prevent death rather than freezing myself for like a million years until there's a cure, though. Like they're already doing a lot of research on how they can cool people down when they've have heart attacks and you have a much greater chance of living through all the procedures and stuff because you body doesn't die as quickly when it's cold--which totally makes sense.
I have decided that at any point in my young life if something happens to me, I want to kept alive forever. I don't care what machines they have to put me on or how long I'm in a vegetated coma--I don't want to die EVER. Nobody gets my organs, I am holding on until science can save me. Because I know they're getting there.
Dying is necessary and everything, but that doesn't mean I personally want to do it. Not now anyway. Why not hold on for as long as I can if I'm up for long-term suffering in the event that I have to wait it out until medicine can save me?
As long as I can watch TV I'm good.
